3.5 stars This was a fun romp through medieval England with a hot scarred Viking named Selik. Rain Jordan had been haunted by dreams of a Viking in battle all her life, and it really troubled her because she claimed to be a pacifist. When Rain and her mother go to a Viking exhibit in York, in present time, she sees a painting that is a scene from her dream. She gets hit on the head with some falling plaster and BOOM! shes on the battlefield that was in the painting and her dream.Selik was a wonderful troubled hero who was set on a course of vengeance. Naturally, he fights his feelings for Rain.

Rain irritated me a bit. She claimed to be a pacifist, yet she went around hitting Selik when he made her mad, and she had TONS of violent thoughts. Not very pacifist behavior if you ask me. Also, Rain is a ER doctor in modern times, yet when she gets to Medieval times she becomes overly emotional, crying often, and tends to act a bit on the silly side.Overall, it was a fun read and Ill read more of this series :)
